Liz is a librarian and digital equity pro with a commitment to building the future. As the state of Utah’s point person for digital equity during the pandemic, Liz centered library issues in statewide solution building. Working with the state broadband office, she wrote Utah’s State Digital Equity Plan, the third in the nation to be released. She also managed digital inclusion grants, headed an ECF consortium, and built bridges between libraries and community stakeholders. Liz spent the past four years at the Utah State Library; prior to that she worked for the University of Utah Marriott Library and the Summit County Public Library and earned an MLIS at the University of North Texas. After a decade in libraries, she is passionate about the potential libraries and other public services have to grow and evolve. Liz is currently a trainer and consultant in the DC area focused on building library leaders for digital equity.
