CloudSource+ and Article Galaxy Scholar: Discover More, Spend Smarter
October 28 @ 1:50 pm – 2:25 pm EDT
As subscription database costs keep rising, libraries are looking for new ways to expand access while managing budgets. CloudSource OA gives one-click access to about 100 million open-access articles, eBooks and OER. It helps libraries strengthen collections and improve the user experience at no additional content cost. CloudSource+ extends discovery across open and subscription resources, combining a comprehensive open-access collection with nearly one billion closed-access records.
Our partnership with Article Galaxy Scholar takes this further. Users are routed to open-access content first, then to the library’s subscriptions. If full text isn’t available through either, they can get on-demand access to articles from more than 43,000 peer-reviewed journals. This lets libraries focus collection spending on their key subscriptions. Users still get full text they would otherwise need a low-usage or high-OA-overlap database for, so the library can re-evaluate those databases.
Join our panel of experts to see how CloudSource, CloudSource+ and Article Galaxy Scholar deliver content-neutral relevancy, seamless access, and a smarter approach to collection development and resource discovery.
