Dianna Parsons obtained her MLIS from UCLA in 2013 and has been working in special libraries ever since. She started working at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as a cataloging librarian in 2017, received her Graduate Gemologist diploma in 2021, and became Library Manager in 2022. In her current role, she is responsible for acquisitions, outreach, and reference, growing the library’s collections and providing access to gem and jewelry information for GIA students, staff, and the public.
